Earlier this fall, Biola English writing instructor Aarika Alura was interviewed by Voyage L.A. to talk about her life, her teaching, her art, and the successful sticker shop she started last summer. Here’s Aarika on how she understands her work:
If I had to pick a word to define myself, I suppose I’m best known as a Creative. But that encompasses my belief that creativity has a responsibility to be more than just aesthetic. I value the intersection between art, innovation, and education and try to incorporate that convergence in the classroom with my students, at church with my church family, and within my business model.
