In previous years, the Guild has hosted a variety of “Englishy” events including poetry readings, the annual Christmas party, networking events, and an underground film society. Each spring, the Guild hosts the Zeitgeist conference where students submit and present their creative and academic writing.

Inkslinger

Inkslinger is Biola’s student-run literary + arts journal.

Since its establishment in 2005, Inkslinger has been committed to “publishing exemplary writing and artwork.” Each year they publish a volume of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, black-and-white art, and black-and-white photography, all submitted by students. They also host creative workspaces each semester, where students from all disciplines are invited to create a collective mural.

Submission guidelines and past journals are located on the Inkslinger website. Learn more about the club through the Inkslinger Instagram account, and email any questions to inkslinger.club@biola.edu.

The picture shows that the journals are from the years 2022, 2021, 2020, and 2019. It shows compressed pictures of the contents of the journal, featuring poetry, photography, and short stories.
